Join us Thursday evenings this fall at Qahwah House in the heart of New York City for the second book of our Sufi Corner Book Club! We will be reading fascinating titles on the history, practice, and philosophy of Sufism.
Our second series will be an engaging 4-session series on The Voyage of No Return by Claude Addas, exploring the life, teachings, and legacy of the “Shaykh Al-Akbar,” Muhyiddin Ibn Al-’Arabi—arguably the greatest thinker in Islamic and certainly Sufi history.
Sessions will consist of thoughtful dialogue structured on the themes and ideas of the week’s reading:
Session 1: (p. 1-30) November 12
Should Ibn ‘Arabi Be Burned?
The Prince’s Prayer
“Flee towards God”
Session 2: (p. 31-60) November 19
