Dr. Nariman Aavani is a Research Fellow at SufiCorner and an Islamic Studies Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. He received his PhD in Islamic Studies from Harvard, where his research focused on pre-modern Islamic thought in Iran and the Indian subcontinent, with particular attention to Hindu-Muslim intellectual encounters during the Mughal period. His current work develops his doctoral thesis into a book-length study while also engaging broader questions of Islamic intellectual history. In addition to his research, Dr. Aavani teaches online courses on Rumi’s Masnavi, bringing classical texts into contemporary conversation.
